What is the Diploma in Education and Training Level 5?

The Diploma in education was previously called DTLLS and is for individuals that are teaching and want to achieve teacher status (QTLS) in the post 16 sector.

How long will it take me to achieve the qualification?

The qualification can be achieved between 5- 12 months.


How many teaching hours must I log and how many times will I be observed?

100 teaching hours must be logged as well as 8 observations.


How much is the course?

The course is £1100.00. However, when enrolling this month, the course is £820.00 including registration. 


Can the qualification be achieved remotely?

Theory and knowledge is delivered remotely to achieve the qualification, all you need is the internet and a computer/ laptop.

Trainers and assessors will visit you for all observations.


Are there any formal entry requirements?

Good reading and writing skills.

You must be aged 19 and above to enrol on to the qualification.


When will I receive my certificate?

We are an approved centre with Direct Claims status which means you will not wait weeks to receive your certificate.
